The technician will pre-spray all areas that are to be cleaned. We will work on any spots before the steam cleaning process to ensure the best possible results.
After we’re done, we’ll check with you to make sure we performed up to your standards before we leave. The carpet will be wet for 6-10 hours after cleaning, so you’ll need to wait to move any furniture back.

How Long Does It Take?
The total process will depend on how many rooms will be cleaned and how soiled the carpets are. Some areas may need additional moisture in order to get maximum results. At the final walk-through on the day of cleaning, we’ll let you know how long it will take.
How Long Does It Take To Dry?
Most carpets dry in about 6 to 10 hours, though it can take longer if it’s very humid in your home. In the winter, you can crack your windows and turn the heat up a bit to let the steam escape and decrease the drying time. In the summer, air conditioning works well to remove the moisture from the carpet.
You can walk on the wet carpet with clean rubber soles right after cleaning. Our technician can also provide shoe covers if available and inform you of ways to keep your carpet from tracking up while it’s wet.
How Can I Make The Results Last Longer After My Carpets Are Cleaned?
A good first step is to start by keeping shoes, pets, and furniture off your freshly cleaned carpet until it’s completely dry. Family Carpet Care recommends applying carpet protection to all cleaned carpets and area rugs.
